Decontamination

3IDS has developed proprietary and proven decontamination methods that utilize state-of-the-art patented products.  Further, IDS uses specially designed delivery devices such as electro-static spraying systems that create charged droplets under 10 microns in size that produce a much higher degree of efficacy versus just spray on and wipe off cleaning methods.  Our decontamination process is customized for each project to meet protocol requirements, and includes any or all of the following:

All damaged materials are removed from the building prior to decontamination. A specific protocol is followed in order to prevent cross-contamination of non-affected areas.

This application method generates a ultra fine mist (below 10 microns of charged particulates) of the decontamination formula throughout the contaminated area. The mist is able to penetrate bacteria and mold that are normally unreachable within a structure.

Foaming Application – this application method is utilized for specific building materials and conditions requiring greater contact time and longer residual values.

IDS can perform decontamination in sections based on HVAC zones if a structure needs to remain partially open during the process. IDS can also set up containment barriers to allow maximum utilization of the property and minimize any inconvenience to the client.

HEPA, High Efficiency Particulate Air filtration devices are used to remove allergens and neutralized mold spores or bacterium from the air after the treatment. HEPA filtration units can be placed within the decontaminated area to establish a negative air environment.

All horizontal surfaces, such as carpets and floors, are vacuumed in order to remove any mold spores or bacterium debris from the treatment.

At the conclusion of every decontamination project, IDS provides a complete documentation of the project. This includes a project summary of all test results and all of the IDS documents used during the project. All documentation and testing results are held in strictest confidence.
